About Jarden Vets
A Practice with a Personal Touch
At Jarden Vets, we believe great veterinary care starts with strong relationships. As the only independent veterinary practice in Olney, we're proud to offer a full range of veterinary services under one roof, from routine health checks and preventative care to surgery and emergency treatment.
Being independent means we can focus on what's right for our clients and their pets. We're part of the local community, and we're passionate about building lasting relationships with the families who trust us, as well as supporting the wider Olney community through local partnerships and initiatives.
Steve's Story
from Nurse to Founder
Jarden Vets was founded by Steve Murphy, a qualified and experienced Veterinary Nurse with a passion for providing outstanding patient care.
After many years working in large referral hospitals across the UK and overseas, Steve wanted to bring that experience back to his hometown and create something different: an independent practice where pets receive high-quality clinical care in a calm, welcoming environment, and where clients always feel informed, supported and valued.
That vision became a reality in 2024 when Steve secured funding to transform the former Nourish building on Weston Road into the purpose-built practice that is now Jarden Vets. Drawing on the best ideas and experiences from throughout his career, he's created a practice that combines modern facilities with a genuinely personal approach to veterinary care.
