Meet the Team
Steve
RVN & Director

Hi, I’m Steve, the founder of Jarden Vets and a qualified Veterinary Nurse with a lifelong passion for animal welfare.
After many years working in large referral hospitals both in the UK and overseas, I wanted to create something different – a local, independent practice where care, connection, and calm come first. That dream became reality in 2024 when I developed a business plan and secured funding to build Jarden Vets right here in my hometown of Olney, in the former Nourish building just off Weston Road.
My goal has always been to build a practice centred on compassion, empathy, and warmth; a place where animal companions and their carers feel genuinely cared for. I can’t wait to welcome you to Jarden Vets and show you what that means in practice.
Antonella
BVetMed MRCVS

Hi, I am Antonella, a dedicated veterinary surgeon with a passion for providing Best Practice Care to animal companions and their families. Originally from New Jersey, USA, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Montclair State University before pursuing my veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College in London.
Having lived in the UK for the past eight years, I have embraced life in the countryside, where I enjoy exploring scenic walking trails with my dog, Barney.
My professional interests include dermatology and soft tissue surgery, and I take pride in combining my clinical expertise with a compassionate, personalised approach to animal care. I look forward to meeting you and your companions soon.
Kate
RVN

Hi, I’m Kate, and I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2017. I began my career in first opinion practice before finding my home at a large referral hospital, where I discovered my passion for emergency and critical care medicine.
After several rewarding years on the clinical side, I transitioned into a more administrative role – supporting the hospital’s daily operations, from pricing and equipment maintenance to complaints handling and everything in between.
In 2022, I moved to Olney and was ready for a new challenge, which led me to join Steve in opening Jarden Vets. Returning to first opinion practice and getting back into nurse consultations and anaesthesia has been an exciting step, and I’m really enjoying reconnecting with carers and their companions once again.
At home, I share my life with Robbie, my rescue companion. He can be a little wary of the outside world but is happiest curled up on the sofa surrounded by his family.
Tina
RVN

Hi, I’m Tina. I have more than 10 years of experience in Veterinary Nursing and have worked in both first opinion practices and referral hospitals.
My main passion lies in animal behaviour, and I’m dedicated to making every visit as stress-free and fear-free as possible. I also have a keen interest in neurology and a particular soft spot for Dachshunds! I love the fact that I can bring these passions to the companions of Jarden Vets.
At home, I live with my husband, our son, and our two dogs – a very senior one-eyed Dachshund and a big, bouncy Malamute Cross, who keeps things very lively for us.
Susie
Carer Liason

Hi, I’m Susie, and I’m delighted to be joining Jarden Vets as part of the Carer Liaison team.
I’ve worked in the veterinary industry for over 20 years, both in pharmaceuticals and small animal practice, and I’m passionate about helping carers feel supported every step of the way.
At home, I live with my husband, our two children, and our much-loved fluffy feline companion, Teddy, plus my amazing horse, Penny, who brings me so much happiness. I totally adore them both.
I can’t wait to meet you all and your wonderful animal companions!
Isla
PCA

Hi, I’m Isla. I’ve adored animals for as long as I can remember and always knew I wanted to live and work with them. I studied Animal Management and Welfare at Moulton College, where I gained my Level 3 qualification.
During my studies, I completed work experience in a veterinary practice, a dog groomer, and a cattery, where I later worked during the summer. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in caring for animals in a range of settings and deepened my passion for animal welfare.
At home, I share my life with my four wonderful companions: cats Basil, Parsley, and Libby, and my Cockapoo, Henry, who’s full of energy and keeps me on my toes!
